Wasaga Beach Gateway Casino

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited has the finish line in sight as construction wraps up of the beautiful new facility in west-end Wasaga Beach.

Rob Mitchell, Director Communications & Public Affairs for Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited gave me a tour of the site on Wednesday October 12th, and what I saw was impressive. The addition of the new casino will provide a major boost to the year-round economy of Wasaga Beach and will be a major attraction for the region. Gateway recently held a well-attended job fair, filling approximately 140 full time positions in preparation of opening this fall.

The new casino will offer 250 slots and electronic table games, along with Gateway Casinos & Entertainment’s signature-brand restaurant, MATCH Eatery & Public House, complete with a west-facing spacious outdoor patio. The restaurant will have a sports bar feel to it and will feature live entertainment.

Construction is almost complete on the large, west-facing outdoor patio, complete with heaters to take away the post-summer chill.

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited’s web site states the company (“Gateway”) is one of the largest and most diversified gaming and entertainment companies in Canada with 27 gaming properties in British Columbia and Ontario and two additional properties in Edmonton, Alberta.
