Wasaga Beach Car Wash Raises Money for Food Bank

The second annual charity car wash held on Saturday July 8th at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, Georgian Bay Branch unit, 862 Mosley Street in Wasaga Beach parking lot, brought to light the extreme generosity of Wasaga Beach residents.

The Church presented a cheque for this year, 2023, to the Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank from the combined total from June and July car washes of $650.

Church spokesperson Al Narvanen said there has been a huge demand for the Food Bank resources and the Church and community members were pleased to be able to support them in their efforts to help out those in need in the community.

“The community really stepped up – a lot of comments that they were pleased to contribute even more than the suggested $10 per vehicle, as it was going to a good and very necessary organization (Food Bank) to help those in need.”
