Simcoe Muskoka Hospital Healthcare Roundtable

It was a pleasure to participate in the Simcoe Muskoka Hospital Healthcare Roundtable with my colleagues, Minister Doug Downey, Minister Jill Dunlop and MPP Andrea Khanjin, with the CEO’s and Board Chairs from the 8 hospitals in the Simcoe Muskoka region; the Georgian Bay General Hospital, the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare, the Stevenson Memorial Hospital, the Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, and Waypoint Hospital. Simcoe County also participated as a critical partner and service provider in the healthcare sector.

It was a great opportunity to hear about the successes, opportunities and challenges our hospitals are experiencing. I was very impressed by the level of cooperation and collaboration among our hospitals as they work together to maximize patient outcomes in our region.
