Provincial Grant Supporting Non-Profit Organization in Simcoe-Grey

CLASS awarded $133,800 OTF Capital Grant to renovate community kitchen

Alliston, ON – Brian Saunderson, Member of Provincial Parliament for Simcoe-Grey, met with the team at the Community Living Association for South Simcoe (CLASS) to learn more about how they used their $133,800 capital grant from Ontario Trillium Foundation. The grant, awarded in 2024, enabled CLASS to renovate and create a new Community Resource Program Kitchen which includes wheelchair-accessible features that will enhance functionality and foster greater community involvement.
“The team at CLASS has demonstrated remarkable leadership in using this provincial grant to create a space that brings people together and supports greater inclusion,” said Brian Saunderson, MPP for Simcoe-Grey. “Their work continues to make a lasting difference in the lives of those they serve. Congratulations to the entire team on turning vision into impact.”
By creating an inviting and accessible space, the organization is empowering people with developmental disabilities to ensures everyone has the opportunity to use all aspects of the kitchen independently.

Whether it’s purchasing equipment, building a new space or completing renovations, retrofits or repairs, these grants support projects that are making a difference in Simcoe-Grey.
