Premier Doug Ford visits Collingwood General and Marine Hospital

This past week marked the fourth anniversary since the World Health Organization declared a global pandemic as the COVID-19 virus spread.
It changed our world forever.
Although all of us were impacted, some more than others, there was no sector that faced the pandemic head on more than healthcare workers.
Today, the ravages of COVID-19 have changed work practices, protocol and interaction among healthcare workers.
This week, Premier Ford and I had a great opportunity to meet many staff at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, and hear first hand what’s working, what isn’t and what our government can do to make their work lives better. Part of our discussions about the day-to-day operations involved the state of the current hospital and the pressing need for a state of the art hospital on the Poplar Sideroad site.
