Our Government is Supporting Critical Community Programs and Services in Simcoe-Grey

Theatre Collingwood receives $41,800.00 in funding

Congratulations to Theatre Collingwood, they received $41,800 in funding this year through the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Seed grant stream. The funding will be used to develop their Changemakers Project, which is an annual opportunity for new playwrights to create works highlighting the Change Makers in our world. Theatre Collingwood has been the home of vibrant and exciting live theatre, bringing talented performers to their stage for decades. This provincial government grant, through the Ontario Trillium Foundation will help fuel the Changemakers Project, which will raise the curtain on a new wave of artists who will showcase their skills in our area

OTF’s Seed grant stream helps organizations build resilience and enhance their ability to deliver programs and services that directly benefit community members. Grantees can use their funding to support organizational planning, pilot a new program and/or build their organizational capacity to plan for future programs and services for the people of Ontario.

Stan Cho, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming says Simcoe-Grey and all across Ontario, non-profit organizations are delivering critical programming that is helping people train for new careers, stay active, learn new things, and connect with their community.
