I am pleased to share that nominations are now open for the 2026 Ontario Veterans Award for Community Service Excellence (OVACSE).
This important award recognizes Veterans whose exceptional and ongoing service continues to strengthen communities across Ontario. Whether helping other Veterans transition to civilian life, supporting those living with mental or physical injuries, or contributing to broader community-building initiatives, recipients reflect the very best of service beyond the uniform.
Veterans continue to make meaningful contributions to communities every day, and this program provides an important opportunity to recognize those whose dedication and leadership continue long after their military service.
I am also pleased to see the program expand through partnerships with organizations that support veterans across Ontario. In addition to branches of The Royal Canadian Legion, eligible nominating organizations now include Treble Victor Group, the True Patriot Love Foundation, the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans in Canada, and the Canadian Association of Veterans in United Nations Peacekeeping (CAVUNP), further strengthening the program and its impact.
I encourage eligible organizations to consider nominating deserving individuals within their community whose continued service and commitment to others deserve recognition. Nominations are open through the Ontario Honours and Awards Portal until September 4, 2026.
