Friday June 23rd is Olympic Day around the world.
Olympic Day Team Canada / Équipe Canada has developed into much more than just a sports event. Based on the three pillars “move”, “learn” and “discover”, National Olympic Committees are organizing sports, cultural and educational activities.
Here in Simcoe-Grey, MPP Brian Saunderson will be celebrating. He was a member of the Canadian National Rowing Team and competed at two Olympic Games, and three World Championships, winning a silver medal in 1990 as a member of the Men’s Eight.
