Collingwood, ON – Residents of Simcoe-Grey and beyond will benefit from increased access to efficient public health services through the Ontario government’s plan to strengthen public health across the province. The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is receiving $268,600 to support programs and services for the 2025–2026 year. This funding will support a range of public health initiatives and service delivery priorities.
“Public health services are essential to the well-being of our communities,” said Brian Saunderson, MPP for Simcoe–Grey. “This funding for the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit will strengthen the programs and supports residents rely on every day, ensuring people across our region continue to have access to high-quality public health services.”
This investment is part of the Ontario government’s $60.09 million in one-time funding for 29 public health units across the province. The province remains committed to ensuring Ontarians have access to quality, efficient public health resources and services.
