Lake Simcoe Watershed Impacts Simcoe-Grey

VIDEO: Simcoe-Grey MPP Brian Saunderson asked David Piccini, Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, to provide an update on the status of ecosystems and waterways in the region. MPP Saunderson stated some of his constituents have expressed concerns about the sustainability of land and water uses across Lake Simcoe, as the Lake Simcoe watershed key natural, urban and agricultural systems directly impact his riding of Simcoe-Grey.

The Lake Simcoe watershed reaches 3,400 square kilometres and 20 municipal borders, from the Oak Ridges Moraine in the south to the Oro Moraine in the north, through York and Durham regions, Simcoe County and the cities of Kawartha Lakes, Barrie and Orillia.
