Grand Opening Playtime Casino Wasaga Beach

Today was a special day for the Town of Wasaga Beach as the new Playtime Casino celebrated its grand opening. The new $34.3 million, 25,000 square foot casino and restaurant is now fully operational and will create 140 new, year-round jobs in the community. Mayor Brian Smith cut the ribbon and in his opening remarks, acknowledged that this odyssey began under the watchful eye of former Mayor Cal Patterson. Smith also gave a shout out to former Mayor Nina Bifolchi and her council for their hard work in getting construction of the new Wasaga Beach casino underway.

Simcoe-Grey MPP Brian Saunderson participated in the Playtime Casino Grand Opening Ceremony, stating that he sees this new facility as a sure bet of being a four-season destination and providing good jobs in Wasaga Beach.
