Good Samaritan Seniors Complex 50th Anniversary in Alliston

It is known locally as the “Good Sam.” The Good Samaritan Seniors Complex in Alliston is well known throughout Simcoe County for its well earned reputation of providing quality care and services.

The Good Samaritan is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Originally opened in 1973, this privately owned complex was reconfigured in 2002 when a new long-term care home was built on the property. The original home was renovated and re-opened as the adjoining retirement lodge in 2004.

After 50 years of service to Alliston, the Good Samaritan Seniors Complex now looks ahead to continuing to provide the quality in care and services that it has come to be known for.

“Our mission is to deliver excellence in resident care and accommodation that supports the health and well-being of our residents. We shall collaborate with residents, their families, our employees, government and the community to ensure the needs of all our residents are consistently met. We shall provide a modern, safe, clean and well-maintained home-like environment for our residents and offer comprehensive programs and services to ensure their highest quality of life.”

It was a hot, humid day for the first day of summer. Residents took advantage of the shade on the covered patio to take part in the 50th anniversary festivities.
