Simcoe-Grey MPP Brian Saunderson is concerned about what he referred to as “unscrupulous building practices” that have been reported to his office. He has heard reports about new home buyers being victimized by some unethical developers and he rose in the legislature today (Wednesday November 2nd) to say these situations have gone on for too long.
Minister of Public and Business Service, MPP Kaleed Rasheed, addressed the matter raised by MPP Saunderson.
“Hard working Ontarians need to be treated fairly when making one of the biggest purchases of their lives, a new home.”
Minister Rasheed told the legislature that the Premier has said this type of appalling behaviour is unacceptable and the Ontario government has a zero-tolerance approach to any such activity.
