Congratulations to Royal Canadian Legion Branch 397 in Creemore
July 28, 2025
I’d like to extend my sincere congratulations to Royal Canadian Legion Branch 397 in Creemore on receiving a $177,200 Capital grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF), an agency of the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture & Gaming.
President Jim Henderson and Project Manager Michael Loranger shared that the funding has been used to renovate and upgrade the Legion’s commercial kitchen, an important improvement that ensures the facility can continue to support aging community members who rely on local resources and shared spaces.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation plays a key role in helping organizations like the Legion build stronger connections and a deeper sense of belonging across Ontario. This investment reflects OTF’s commitment to strengthening communities through meaningful, grassroots projects.
The Royal Canadian Legion’s mission is a vital one: to serve veterans, including serving military and RCMP members and their families, to promote remembrance, and to give back to our communities and our country.
Here in Simcoe–Grey, Legions are a cornerstone of civic life, a place where people gather, share, and honour those who have served.
Congratulations again to Branch 397 on this well-deserved grant and on the impressive improvements to your facility. Your leadership and service continue to enrich the fabric of our community.
