Community Leadership Shines in Support of New Hospital Build

The people of Simcoe-Grey continue to demonstrate what true community spirit looks like! Stevenson Memorial Hospital is well on its way to becoming a modern, state-of-the-art facility that will better serve our growing region. Thanks to the remarkable generosity of local residents and community partners, nearly half of the hospital’s $80-million local fundraising target has already been achieved.

At the recent Energy Experience 2025 event, our community once again rose to the occasion, surpassing a goal of $80,000 for a new portable X-ray machine and pledging more than $120,000 in just 15 minutes, with the Women’s Auxiliary leading the effort. It was an inspiring moment that speaks to the commitment and care that define Simcoe-Grey.

My sincere thanks to everyone who is contributing to this vital project. Your support is helping bring a new hospital to life for our region, and it will make a meaningful difference for generations to come.

Note: The new Stevenson Memorial Hospital will include 2 fully equipped operating rooms.
