Congratulations to Camphill Communities Ontario on receiving up to $89,100 through the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Seed Grant stream!
This provincial investment is helping Camphill create more opportunities for people of all abilities to experience and participate in the arts, while building stronger connections between Camphill and the broader community.
Through this funding, Camphill Communities Ontario partnered with Burro’d Theatre to bring professional live theatre to the grounds of Novalis Hall. The partnership featured a wonderfully entertaining outdoor production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, creating an engaging and inclusive experience for residents, participants, families and community members.
Bringing the arts into community spaces provides opportunities for people to come together, experience something new and build meaningful connections. By creating an accessible theatre experience that welcomed people from across the community, this project helped demonstrate the important role that arts and culture can play in fostering inclusion and belonging.
It was a pleasure to recognize this investment with Executive Director Larry Palmer and Community Participation & Innovation Manager Kathrine Killam.
Thank you to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for supporting initiatives that help make the arts more accessible and inclusive, and to everyone at Camphill Communities Ontario and Burro’d Theatre for bringing this wonderful project to life.
Best wishes to Camphill Communities Ontario for continued success and for creating more opportunities for people of all abilities to participate, connect and enjoy the arts.
