The Persian Mosaic Night Festival was held in Riverdale Park in Alliston on Saturday Aug. 26th. Vendors were on site and visitors to the festival were treated to cultural dances, delicious Persian food, live music performances and a DJ dance party. It was a night for residents to join together to celebrate Persian culture in the diverse community of New Tecumseth, fostering inclusion and diversity in Simcoe County.
Kate Judge from MPP Brian Saunderson’s office was on hand to present festival organizers with a certificate of appreciation from the Province of Ontario and the riding of Simcoe-Grey. MP Terry Dowdall and New Tecumseth Mayor Richard Norcross also made presentations.
