The crowd was large and spirits were high at the Alliston Coldest Night of the Year Event. Walkers were raising money and awareness for S.H.I.F.T (Support and Hope for Individuals and Families Today), an organization that provides safe, respectful, and welcoming emergency overnight accommodation, meals and supports to those experiencing or at-risk of experiencing homelessness and/or food insecurity in South Simcoe.
The Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is a winterrific family-friendly walk to raise money for local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. The Coldest Night of the Year has raised over $56,000,000 in 166 communities across Canada since it began in 2011.
